the collection: faces

Faces today. I love faces. I'm taking a history of photography class right now, and I finally realized the two broad categories of photography: photos that record and photos that are artistic. So obvious, right? Some photos aren't given any thought to them and some are, but I always got caught under the guise that any picture could be a photograph, an artistic photograph, but they're not! Haha. And I feel so much better about this. I just feel enlightened. We haven't even discussed this concept fully in class, but my professor mentioned it today and it got my mind rolling. So now, I am excited to start trying to take artistic photographs. Yay! I mean, what do you think about photography?
